For some reason, I once tried to blend the two most important prayers of the Catholic liturgy, the Our Father and the Hail Mary, into a single text. In any case, the result was edifying enough for me to decide to extend the experiment to music. The music creates responses between the women’s voices and the men’s voices, alternating the two texts so that the third text emanating from them is clearly perceptible.
The work, dating from 2007, was recreated in summer 2021 with the Pradier choir conducted by Benoît Grenèche.
