Based on 4 traditional songs from Anjou, Brittany, Normandy and Touraine, I have written a kind of little opera, transposing the melodies into a lyrical language with a strong dramaturgy, highlighting these texts the apparent lightness of which conceals sordid realities. The central piece is in freer language.
Recording, extracts: CD “Je me suis en allée …”, Méliades vocal quartet, Anaïs Vintour, Delphine Cadet, Marion Delcourt and Corinne Bahuaud.
