Opus : 21 / Type d'œuvre : Pour voix seule(s)

In this work I wanted to reconstruct a dialogue between Inger Christensen and her husband, who died long before her. Unlike Visages de la Terre, here it is only she, alive, who speaks; it is therefore the choral score that transforms her monologue into a dialogue, with a very anguished period at the centre of the work (“A meaningless life, a meaningless death…”), which leads, after the long soprano solo of “Elskov”, to the love poem of the finale, describing an encounter at the level where earth and sky merge, the grass, as if through touch rather than thought: “Leaves on your hands… your voice… your body a spot of sun…”.
